Presenting ......

"United" by Janet Clark

United

The events of 11th September 2001 shocked and horrified
us all. The sheer scale of it was almost too much to take in. Richard and I were in Florida at the time of the attack and although many miles away from Ground Zero, we felt the distress and grief that all America was feeling.

Like many people, I wanted to do something to help. "UNITED" is my way of doing that. It represents the United Kingdom and United States of America and the special friendship we have. This piece, comprising a doll and a bear was specifically designed to raise funds for the American Red Cross in the aftermath of this disaster. The 17" dressed pair are displayed on a covered base with handpainted flags of the two Countries.

I guarantee that £100 pounds from the sale of each set will be donated to the American Red Cross. If you would like to add this special piece to your collection and help me raise funds, please visit my web site www.teddystyle.com or e-mail me at JCTeddystyle@aol.com for further details. You can help me achieve my target of raising £1000 pounds before the first anniversary of this horrendous attack.

Thank You.

BBN Internet Auction on behalf of NSPCC

Auction Bears

British Bears on the Net undertook to support the 'National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children' during 2000. The teddy bears featured above were kindly donated by members of BBN to be auctioned - courtesy of ebay.com - last November.

The auction got off to an exciting start and the bids soon started rolling in. Every single bear found a new home by the time the auction closed and BBN are proud to announce a staggering achievement of over £2000.00 which has now been forwarded to the NSPCC to assist in their essential work.
