Hello, I'm Jane Montgomery, the 'Little Acorns' bearsmith. I live in South Wales with three cats and a HUGE hug. I don't think that I can fit another bear in the house, well, maybe just one or two or............

I work as an Occupational Therapist with a local community mental health team which means that life is varied, no two days are ever the same ! I fell into the bear world a couple of years ago, after seeing the most gorgeous face in a bearshop window. That was it, I was hooked. Last year (2001) I decided to have a go at creating my own bears and Little Acorns was born. I do have problems making the bears, as I have Carpal Tunnel syndrome, which affects my hands. So I take things gently and each bear is a real labour of love.

My Little Acorns range from 4 1/2 inches small to 14 inches tall. They can be made from materials like Kunin felt, mini-bear plushes, mohair, etc. Every Little Acorn will have eyebrows, big feet and an appealing, whimsical expression.
