Hi All, this is me! I am trying to avoid eye contact with the big 40 (it's hunting me down relentlessly!) and Mum to two girls aged 13 and 17. I was a bit of a rebel in my youth but I am now a responsible and respectable teddy bear designer (no comments please!) I work at my teddies as full time as my children allow, and the hours actually seem to add up to an awful lot more than 9-5!

Yes I confess, I am that Fiona! Sister of Paula (and three others) and the bully that made Paula show her work to 'outsiders'! Actually, I stole it and showed it myself, but that's another story!! After making teddies for about two years to achieve a saleable standard (!) Auntie Bears was launched. Several years later and heaps of hard work, we took the plunge and went solo. Absolutely Bear by Fiona Smith is my contribution to the teddy bear world. Big bears are my preference but I have made a few weenie 7" chaps, just to see if I could! Things have worked out well for both of us and our teddies have found homes in many far flung places!
