I'm 47, married and have 2 children(?), one is 19 and at Bradford uni, the other is 22 in a couple of weeks and has just graduated from Nottingham uni, both are living back at home at the moment - so my bear making storage facilities are suddenly much smaller!! I started making bears about 6 years ago but only started selling them about a year ago. I enjoy all craft I like others I too have boxes of unfinished items started before bear designing and making got under my skin.

I work 3 days a week in a small school (48 children) in the village of New York, where I teach all Key Stage 2 ( 7,8,9,10 & 11 year olds) - we only have 2 classes! The other 4 days - well the idea was housework etc 2 days, bear making 2 days - but well I'm not really in to housework and there's always a piece of mohair calling to me - so its more likely to be housework = Peter, Andy or Laura ! My 'pet' charity is leukaemia research as I have a niece with it, (she also has had 2 brain tumours removed an is only 18) so I try to fund raise by organizing coffee evenings etc this last effort was a charity diet! no chocolate bars - I failed miserably ( stress at work) but DH lost over a stone and he wasn't really trying!!
